Argentina's Biodiesel Saga

Argentina is going all in with biodiesel. Domestic biodiesel production rose year-over-year by nearly 50% to reach a record high 2.7 mln metric tons in 2016. The country’s exporters are sailing back into troubled waters, despite the EU removing anti-dumping measures last year. In 2016, Argentina exported more biodiesel to the US than in the prior two years combined. In response, the US National Biodiesel Board filed an anti-dumping petition last Thursday.
